Phang-Nga

Phang Nga National Park is a 400-sq./km bay and is truly awe-inspiring; with its limestone pinnacles rising from calm, misty waters and it's numerous anchorages to explore.

It combines breath-taking scenery with a true sense of tranquillity. Only 1 hours cruise and you will be at the islands of Koh Panak and Koh Hong.

Phang Nga Bay also boasts a unique rock formation and the island of Koh Ping Kan, made famous in the James Bond film “The Man with the Golden Gun.” After visiting Koh Ping Kan, just a few minutes north is the Sea Gypsy village of Koh Pan Yi. This village is built almost entirely on stilts, over the water at the base of the towering limestone cliffs of Koh Pan Yi.

There are many restaurants and souvenir shops. As with the James Bond island, Koh Pan Yi is very busy during the midday but is quiet and peaceful in the late afternoon and evening.

Koh Hong Archipelago

Koh Hong Archipelago

Nestled in between Krabi and the northeast part of Phang Na Bay and just east of Koh Yao Noi, lies the Koh Hong Archipelago. There are many places among these small island that are ideal for swimming and stopping for lunch. In contrast to Phang Na Bay, the waters here are clear enough for snorkelling. Many of these islands have fringing coral reefs rich in coral and all kinds of marine wildlife.

On the island of Koh Pak Bia in the Koh Hong group, at the western edge of the bay lies a spectacular spit of white sand, which is an exceptional area for swimming and going ashore to explore this beautiful island.
Krabi

Krabi

In the southeast corner of the bay is the mainland town of Krabi, with its beautiful Rai Lei and Ao Nang beaches nestled amongst the high limestone cliffs. A short distance away lay the islands of Koh Dam Hok and Koh Dam Kwok. On shore there is a nice sandy beach, shaded by trees.

Snorkelling is superb around both islands, also known as the Chicken Island due to a rock formation that resembles a chicken's head. Krabi Province blends the staggering topography of Phang Nga with the stunning coral-fringed islands of the Andaman Sea.

Krabi's Rai-Le beach is most fully appreciated lying at anchor and watching the spectacular sunset cast it's warm glow across the sand.

Phi Phi Islands

Phi Phi Islands Phi Phi island is reachable as a return day trip, but an overnight experience should not to be missed.

About 40 nautical miles south of Phuket, Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Le are the most well known of the islands in the Phuket area. With their exquisite beaches and clear waters, they are well renowned for their diving and snorkelling. With their towering cliffs high above the sea, they are some of the most beautiful islands in the area.

Phi Phi Le with its stunning, Maya Bay will make for a quiet overnight anchorage if you want to above the busy Tonsai Bay. It is also known as the location for the filming of the movie, "The Beach".
